handover.tools is free to use. Using it means you agree to this page.

## Don't use it to

- send anything illegal, including any content that sexually exploits children
- phish, spread malware, or pass commands to malware
- spam, or send people content they didn't ask for
- overload the service or get around its limits

## What happens when abuse is reported

- Reports go to abuse@handover.tools. Include the link and when you saw it.
- One-shot content isn't encrypted, so if it is still stored we can read it and delete it. Channel content is encrypted: we can close a channel, but not read it.
- We can block an IP address or network from storing anything. We keep the address that stored each piece of content for 30 days, and this is what it's for.
- We answer valid legal requests, with only what we keep. See what happens to your data (/guide#data).

## No warranty

- handover.tools is free and provided as is. It can be down, slow, or lose what you stored, so never make it the only copy of anything.
- Limits and features can change. If this page changes, the date below changes.

- Write to security@handover.tools. Details are in security.txt (/.well-known/security.txt).
